Glowbite/Safety & testing

We test every lot.
You can see the paperwork.

Every pouch of Glowbite comes from a lot that passed six independent analytical panels before it shipped. Below is exactly what we test, how often, and how to request the Certificate of Analysis for the pouch in your hand.

What we test

Six panels.
Every lot.

i.

Identity & potency

Confirms every active listed on the panel is present at the labeled amount, per lot.

Method · HPLC (carotenoids, vitamins) · ICP-MS (minerals)
ii.

Heavy metals

Lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury — all tested against California Prop 65 limits, which are stricter than federal cGMP requirements.

Method · ICP-MS
iii.

Microbiology

Total aerobic, yeast & mold, coliforms, E. coli, Salmonella, Staph. aureus. Zero tolerance for pathogens.

Method · USP <2021> / <2022>
iv.

Allergens

Glowbite is tested to be free of the Big 9: milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soy, sesame.

Method · ELISA
v.

Pesticides

Screens for residual pesticides on the beta carotene, lycopene and astaxanthin raw materials. USDA Organic certification requires strict compliance.

Method · GC-MS / LC-MS
vi.

Stability

Real-time and accelerated stability to confirm potency through the printed expiration — so the astaxanthin on day 1 is the astaxanthin on day 365.

Method · ICH Q1A

Check with your doctor first

Glowbite isn't
for everyone.

We'd rather you skip Glowbite than take it when you shouldn't. If any of the following apply, talk to a qualified clinician before starting.

You're under 18.

Glowbite is formulated for adults. If you're 15–17 and curious, please loop in a parent and your pediatrician before starting any supplement.

You're pregnant or nursing.

High-dose vitamin A (even as beta carotene) and certain vitamins should be managed by your OB. Please check with them before adding Glowbite.

You take photosensitizing medication.

Tetracyclines, certain retinoids, and a handful of antifungals can make skin UV-reactive. Don't rely on any supplement to counter that — talk to your prescriber.

You're on blood thinners, statins, or immunosuppressants.

Some carotenoids and D3 can theoretically modulate absorption or activity of these drugs. A 2-minute conversation with your prescriber is worth it.

You're a current heavy smoker.

Two large trials in heavy-smoker cohorts raised concerns about high-dose beta carotene. Please discuss with your doctor before adding a beta-carotene supplement.

You have hemochromatosis, Wilson's disease, or a kidney condition.

Iron/copper/mineral balance matters here. Get clinician sign-off before starting any daily supplement.

You already take a multivitamin with the same nutrients.

Some Glowbite actives are well above 100% DV (vitamin A and D3 specifically). Sum your total daily intake across all supplements to stay within safe ranges.
